Free Range (2021)

Before a long road trip back to the city, retired teacher Dave Jeffery is tasked with capturing four brutish roosters from the family chicken coop for drop-off at the butchery. Dave enlists the help of his children who, sensing disaster, take it upon themselves to create an impromptu documentary of the event. What starts as a simple job, soon unfolds into a daylong misadventure - revealing the unconventional philosophies and teaching style of a laissez faire parent, and the dynamics of a family shaped by them.
