Putty's Pride is a melancholic story of disconnection and redundancy. The documentary follows Ross Ferrier, a fourth generation fisherman who's connection to his heritage is the boat he constructed with his father. In a declining fishing industry Ross is facing retirement. He is being forced to sell his boat, retire from his career and cease his lifestyle. Putty's Pride explores Ross's nostalgia of fishing on the Victorian Coast, his connection to his heritage, and what the future holds for someone forced to give up their lifelong career.
