GAZE is a short documentary film on the topic of gender identities. The film reflects on (seemingly set) gender roles, codes and prejudices and aims to soften the binary understanding of them. In a repeatedly revealed process of discussion with the film team, the protagonists explore in their own way how they experience their gender identity and how they deal with it in relation to self-perception and the perception of others. In the process, the universal characteristic of this inner confrontation becomes palpable and yet still reveals the diversity of particular experiences.
