Heneral Tuna (2021)

Heneral Tuna is a new short animated series from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and produced by Rocketsheep Studio. It was developed to showcase Filipino Values in a modern and engaging way for a new generation of Filipinos. This new series entertains the audience while upholding the importance of Filipino Values to remind Filipinos, young and old, of their roles in our communities. It follows the story of Heneral Tuna, a renowned hero of Planet Mingming who was tasked to take over Planet Earth. The devious alien cat accidentally crash-lands in the Philippines and decides to use the opportunity as a reconnaissance mission to observe the locals in preparation for his planned invasion. Unfortunately, he is too cute to be taken seriously and ends up learning about Filipino values and culture in his adventures. His experiences in Barangay Hiraya will teach him more about himself and how to live his life to the fullest. The series is composed of 7 episodes that premiered on the FDCP Channel and Kumu on October 15, 2021. It is also scheduled to show in Solar channels in November 2021 including Solar Pictures VOD platform. Apart from this, viewers can also rewatch the series on Facebook and YouTube.
