Viral (2021)

The sudden outbreak of the highly contagious and potentially deadly coronavirus in early 2020 led to an atmosphere of chaos and fear across the country, with growing doubts in people's mind about the government's capability to combat such adverse situations proactively. The short film, Viral, builds on a similar premise and presents a press release from a government authority on how they plan to tackle the pandemic. Issues such as insufficient or incorrect data on Covid-19 cases and deaths, shortage of vaccines, among others, are highlighted as part of the film's narrative. During the course of the story, there is also the attempt to portray the paranoia and immense stress that came to define the year 2020 and the events that followed.
