ONENESS (2024)

ONENESS is a 2024 Manipuri film directed by Priyakanta Laishram inspired by the real-life story of a Manipuri gay youth. It is the first gay-themed Manipuri film. The film tells the tragic story of a boy named Ivan Martin who succumbed to death because of his sexual orientation. Starring Maya Choudhury, Priyakanta Laishram, Suraj Ngashepam, and Sachinker Sagolsem in the lead roles, it is the first mainstream Manipuri film to tackle same-sex relationships and sexual identity.
