Maya (2021)

Maya is a multi-cultural drama about homesickness, isolation, and the struggle of finding your identity in a foreign place. The story follows Maya, an Indonesian student living in Brighton. Maya is homesick, broke, and struggling to stop her cultural differences from getting in the way of her relationships. When she starts to see glimpses of a traditional Indonesian dancer that eerily resembles her mother, she becomes fearful that her mum is close to death.
