Vincenzino, a child in an orphanage, will meet another child named Luigi from a completely different social background. Between the two will be born a friendship even if opposed by Luigi's mother. Now after months spent together between secrets and confidences, the day will come when Vincenzino will have to face the separation from his best friend due to the arrival of his new adoptive family. Almost thirty years will pass.
