Check-Six (2021)

In the not too distant future, the United States finds itself embroiled in an international conflict and has reinstated the draft. But this time both men and women are required to register. Charlie, fresh out of college and riding high after obtaining a competitive internship at a newspaper outlet, receives word that she is among those selected for the draft. Together with her partner, a cut-throat reporter named Juliett, they hatch a plan to survive through pregnancy - the only exception available for women to avoid the draft. Yet as their scheme begins to fracture, so too does their perception of each other as well as the inhibitions suppressing their true identities, resulting in a blow back of severe repercussions.
