When a young woman's ailing mother makes a personal request, she is forced to wrangle her fractured internal monologues that threaten to destroy both her identity and her relationship. Put on the spot, Parker is unprepared for the emotional trauma of taking on the role of care-taker for her mother. It's been hard enough watching her father do it day in and out as her mother slipped from the strong capable woman to the tired ailing shell of her former self. Parker's internal dialogue takes over and begins to debate whether or not to fulfill her mother's awkward request. Through this debate, we see the different sides of her personality: Child, Fun, Polite, Feminist and ultimately Panic Parker. The debate culminates in the creation of a new side to Parker: Adult. The person ready to get stuff done and finally stop her other inner voices from holding her back from finally growing up.
