Inspired by "The Grand Inquisitor" from Feodor Dostoyevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov', Gem, commands Jamison to survive 40 days of solitary confinement, nightmare interrogations or die in bed beside his wife. 'When we die in our sleep, we die in a dream. I wonder what dream will take me or resurrect me."
