A Story of Dun Zi (2005)

Sister Juan-zi went to Beijing to attend university, and fifteen-year-old Dun-zi was admitted to a key high school in the town. His desk mate Xuan-zi was full of youthful energy and fell in love with him at first sight. Due to the fact that Dun-zi rode a female bike left behind by his sister at school, he was ridiculed by his classmates around him, especially those who mocked him for riding the same bike as the female teacher Si-qi, which made Dun-zi feel ashamed. Over time, Dun-zi developed a strange feeling towards teacher Si-qi. Her beauty and maturity stirred up Dun-zi, who was in his adolescence, and instead, he developed a sense of disgust towards Xuan-zi, who had a good impression of him. To prove his male identity, he asked his mother for a men's bike, but she strongly refused. Later, due to the entanglement of bicycles, he caused a lot of unhappiness, which gave him the first taste of the troubles of growth. The acquaintance with photographer Lao-gen from the photography studio has changed Dun-zi's life trajectory.
