In the year 1994 a ruthless criminal, Joseph Lewis, robs a prominent jewelry shop in Downtown Manhattan, New York, and hides the jewels and money in the basement of his in-laws' house in Long Island. Days later, Joseph is arrested by the police and sentenced to 30 years in prison. To make matters worse, his in-laws sell the house months later while he is in jail. 25 years later, Joseph Lewis sends his only daughter, LISA, to look for the loot in the house that once belonged to her grandparents, where the Santiago family currently lives. Lisa started a relationship with Raymond Santiago, son of the current owner, under false pretenses so she would have unfiltered access to the house and so get the loot. However, what Lisa did not count on is that her boyfriend's dad, Don Alfredo Santiago, is a highly-decorated retired NYPD officer who suspects her dark intentions. This temperamental doddery old man, Don Alfredo, forms an alliance with Regina, his home attendant, despite his ingrained prejudice against her. Together, they set to unmask Lisa and remove her from their lives and, more importantly, from Raymond's life. The stage is clear, will Lisa complete her life's goal of recovering the loot at all cost? Or will Regina and Don Alfredo triumph against her?
