Alter (2022)

Steve Bryant suffers from PTSD as a result of psychological trauma he believes he endured as a child, after being abducted and tortured in a sadistic ritual. Suffering psychosis having run out of his medication, Steve is convinced that he's spotted Larry Decker, the man who took him nearly 40 years earlier. Steve takes Decker hostage, determined to get him to confess to what he did, even if he needs to torture it out of him. Just when it seems like Steve might have the wrong guy, Decker slips up and reveals that he does know who he is, claiming that he's not Steve's abductor, but rather a cop who's come to stop Steve before his violent alter ego, Peter, kills again. Is Steve truly the victim of a satanic pedophile, or is he actually a schizophrenic serial killer?
