Preservation (2020)

Hazel, a lonely woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease, keeps her mind active by collecting seashells on the beach. One particular day is important though, because it's circled on her calendar. Walter, her husband of 40 years, is coming to visit, doing what he normally does to try and jog Hazel's memory of him by bringing her seashells. Then he notices a rose that Hazel has preserved, and a picture of him with a rose attached to his lapel standing next to the vase. Inspired by real-life experiences, Preservation is a story about a couple trying desperately to preserve their relationship in the face of Alzheimer's disease.
