-Canadian filmmaker Caraz and choreographer Brittney Canda came together to create this story about Beatrice, a woman who feels oppressed by society that breaks free. After listening to Postdata's song, Black Cloud, Caraz felt compelled to explore the concept of an invisible shell that is worn in order to fit within societal norms, and the consequences that come when that shell is broken. Brittney Canda's performance embodied Caraz's eccentric vision of the character with accuracy and authenticity, transforming the creative process into personal expression for both director and choreographer. On set, you could tell right away, as soon as Brittney would slip into the flashy pink jumper she became Beatrice. Her posture and facial expression changed, she would jump around and talk louder, even her eyes sparkled from a new 'je-ne-sais-quoi'. The film is dedicated to everyone whom once sought out the courage to be a Beatrice.
