BASED ON TRUE EVENTS. Dec. 1999, Samantha Reed travels to the remote island of Bald Head, North Carolina to investigate the mysterious circumstances of a police officer's alleged suicide. She quickly learns that the officer's case is far from the only strange death on the island. After Dec. 22, 1999, Samantha is never seen again.
