Alexey Pivovarov's film is a story about the economy of the 90's and those invisible but powerful processes that had determined the essence and form of the new Russian capitalism of that turbulent decade. Why exactly these processes took place in the country? What dictated the most important economic decisions of the authorities - from the issue of prices to voucher privatization, from the creation of the GKO pyramid to relations with the IMF? What economic reasons led to the emergence and then disappearance of "raspberry jackets", trade for hard currency, clothing markets, salaries in envelopes and other attributes, without which it is impossible to imagine the 90's? Were those solutions uncontested? What guided the people who took them? What would they correct if they had the opportunity?
