In July of 2012, during one of the warmest years on record in the continental U.S., Junior Garcia walked nearly 1300 miles from his hometown of Ft. Worth, Texas to the gates of the White House in Washington D.C. He was supported by his family, lead pastor, church members and those he met and inspired along the way. Just one year prior, a physically active, but extremely shy teenager, suddenly became stirred up with a fiery desire to demonstrate his faith in a substantial way. According to his fellow church members, few had ever heard Junior Garcia utter a single syllable. Shocked as they were, they witnessed a young man clearly articulate his plan to walk to the nation's capital. Shortly after the announcement, he prepared himself, mentally, spiritually and physically. He arranged a team and then set out on an extreme mission.
