Salvo is a man who bowed his head. And he saved himself. Marcello is the older brother he had always wanted to be but probably he was never brave enough to do it. The time of a shared cigarette sets the end of a long friendship. Life took them to too different places and to choices that they couldn't even imagine or that they didn't really believe in. Probably, they just found themselves facing the situation. And the responsibility for what is going to happen is nobody's.
