Between 2005-2007 Mosjøen Anode was built with the American company ALCOA and Norwegian Elkem Aluminum as owners. The design and construction was led by the American company Bechtel. The project costs are about NOK 3 billion. The project was carried out with very good results. In particular, mention must be made of the HSE side with only one injury from absenteeism throughout the project period, which includes more than 3 million workers hours. This video shows key points in the construction of the factory, as well as the official opening.
