Il était une fois la famille (2010)

Spring 2007. The Desternes children, from Chartres, are faced with a challenge they never thought they would have to face once as adults. Xavière (27), Evrard (25), Humbert and Terence (21) learn the decision of their parents, Daniel (62) and Isaure (54), to separate. The 4 brothers and sister think that they will surely not be involved in this break. After all, they are no longer children and therefore believe that they are safe from difficult choices when their parents separate. This is not the case. The impact of this separation and the behavior of their parents places the 4 children in a position of both confidants and judges. They have each taken a stand in this story, forging their own opinions. Three years later, they all responded in a very different way, but the disagreements that finally arose finally allowed them to understand who their family was and why not strengthen their ties.
