1937, the dungeons of the Leningrad NKVD. Someone, unable to bear the torture, signs a confession, and she, a young poetess Mariya Batalova, writes poetry. A fragile girl was able to endure physical pain and bullying, but the last straw could be disappointment in those who gave the very fact of their existence her strength and desire to live, no matter what.
