Following a sex scandal involving and exposing their creepy CEO and that will likely cost their jobs, two disenchanted Hollywood studio secretaries conceal their new boss's accidental death. Stuck in a dead-end office job in their dull and misogynistic Utah branch, Brenda and Esther lie to the entire company staff and head office to recover a bit of dignity and well-deserved management power. They pretend the new boss has put them in charge of reviving the local studio's creative potential and start running the business on their own. However, when the HR Director and the VP discover the lie, the two have to adapt their plan to save their skin, and the con takes on new proportions, putting their future all at enormous risk.
