Two young naive American friends, Edger Donald and Sherman Patreal enlist in the Great War, looking for Glory and excitement. With innocence, we follow the boy's journey, predominantly through their eyes. They are soon sent to the trenches. It's catastrophic and tense. It makes you understand how it changed some men, blinded some men to the truth and drove other men mad. Through the chaos, they find what is often invisible enemies. With constant shelling and gunshots that seem to come from nowhere. Men and boys just trying to stay alive in wet, bloody mud holes. Screaming...In anger, fear, and pain. Like the growl of hell, the noise mingled together in confused havoc. Then out of the trenches and back home. It seemingly feels the soldiers have survived the War and at last found peace, but what did they bring back? An unforeseen enemy. An Unforeseen panic. An unforeseen killer "However bad things are, the worst may yet come, for many things, kill more people than war."
