Mrs. Noisy (2019)

In this taut drama, a small argument ignites a confrontation between neighbors whose lives are upturned when they become entangled with social media and the news. This original story by Amano Chihiro was selected to screen in the Japanese Cinema Splash Section of the 32nd Tokyo International Film Festival. Maki is a mother as well as a novelist who has fallen into a slump. One day, she starts to become annoyed by the noise coming from her neighbor Miwako, and before long the harassment intensifies. Maki counterattacks by using Miwako as material for her novel, causing a most unexpected state of affairs.
