Beauty Water (2020)

After abandoning her dream of becoming a ballerina, young makeup artist Yae-ji has been living with obesity. And having settled for a lacklustre life in the shadow of statuesque South Korean pop star Mi-ri, silently enduring daily humiliation and ridicule, Yae-ji is shamed into submission. Then, timid Yae-ji stumbles upon the too-good-to-be-true Beauty Water elixir: an exclusive beauty product worth a fortune and the answer to her prayers. However, as Yae-ji embarks on an ill-advised mission of aesthetic perfection, bent on going to extreme lengths to pay her oppressor back in the same coin, she will learn first-hand that shedding her old self comes at a high cost.
