Peer (2020)

A young couple, a man and a woman, and their pet cat move into a small two-story house, in hopes of a normal life together. All seems well until the woman takes a shower late into the night. After hearing noises coming from outside the shower curtain, she decides to investigate where the sound is coming from. She finds it is coming from the mirror. The mirror has the reflection of someone else, and this startles her. She slips, falls, and dies. Her partner has trouble coping with the death for three months. He refuses to set foot in the bathroom. Instead, he opts to do his business out in his yard, and wash himself by the kitchen sink. Through grieving, he realizes that he has neglected the pet cat. After finding that it has died of starvation, he ventures into the bathroom to confront his grief. He showers until he hears a noise coming from outside the curtain. He investigates and finds the reflection of his loved one in the mirror. This startles him. He slips, falls, and slowly dies.
