An intimate story of life in limbo that follows Kai, a foreigner from Taiwan who arrives in a coastal city in Brazil. Between heat, confusion, and encounters with immigrants whose roots and dreams mirror her own, she explores a strange world full of cultural differences where she finds more questions than answers. Can someone live in constant confusion? In a summer where everything seems to stand still, being awake is not enough to be alive, and Kai is unable to fall asleep.
