1871 Los Angeles was an embryonic unforgiving frontier-town of 5,000 souls; desperate to survive in post-Civil War America. All commercial hopes had been gambled on a bid to become the Terminus for The South Pacific Railroad - an exponential game-changer for the landed elite. However, local anti-immigrant hostility towards the fledgling Chinese community was at fever pitch. Spurred-on by bigoted rhetoric: the disgruntled, xenophobic ex-Confederates were waiting for their moment to strike....and this unforgettable and wretched moment came on the evening of October 24, 1871 when rage triumphed in the worst mass lynching in US history. The president judge decides that the time has come for justice; but as our story evolves, he learns that he faces formidable foes.
