Uglies (2024)

In a dystopian future where cosmetic surgery at age 16 turns “ugly” into “pretty,” Tally Youngblood looks forward to her turn to join the perfect society. However, upon seeing her friend Peris transformed, she realizes that something has changed in him. This prompts her to join a rebellious group that fights against imposed conformity. Based on the novel of the same name by Scott Westerfeld, this science fiction film explores the dangers of social control and the obsession with perfection.
