A deaf girl, Mae, is found on the side of the road after a grisly assault, in which both of her arms were severed above the elbow. In the hospital days later, she is questioned by two detectives: gruff Henry and gentle Laura. However, they are met with a very unique challenge: getting a description of Mae's attacker without her being able to speak, hear, or sign. When another girl goes missing, the two detectives must devise increasingly creative ways to communicate with Mae, before it's too late. Told entirely from Mae's perspective, the film will be silent, forcing the audience to share in Mae's frustration to be understood.
