One day, while she's going back home, Itala set on a page of a book with an underlined phrase. She picks it up to read, then she throws it back to the ground. At home, she listens the messages on the answering machine, but when she hears the voice of the doctor, she interrupts the message. When Itala goes to the doctor, she announce her that she's dying. So the doctor suggests her to do things never done before and change her life. During a meeting Itala suddenly starts to laugh and goes away. She wears a colorful dress, runs and laughs on the streets and goes to the park, walking barefoot on the lawn. While she's sitting under a tree, the little girl appears and sits next to her with a paper in her hands. Itala remembers the quote she read on the page of the book and she realizes that she has spent her life in bureaucracy and now it's too late to change.
