A Spoon of Honey

A story that follows a young actress, Lisa, who finds herself in an emotionally abusive relationship with her boyfriend Shane; a painter, struggling to complete his masterpiece. A haunting past and the pressures of the modern world pull him into a place of desperation and Opioid abuse. Blindly guided by her love for Shane and the promise of their future together, Lisa lives in denial of the true consequences of her decisions, lustfully tiptoeing through the destruction of her imploding lover. Exploring her passion for the arts, while being a young woman in a big-city environment, how much longer can she exist in her enabling slumber before the beautiful nightmare becomes too much to bare? The story explores addictions and anxieties of young people today through the lens of substance abuse and codependent love.
