The Last Ras

On 1. mars 1896, Captain Matteo Albertone (Trim Bajal), a veteran of the First Italo-Ethiopian War, is captured by a warrior clan who wants to be in good grace with the c of Ethiopia. Is forced to train their warriors in modern warfare using firearms. The kingdom of D'mt Emperor's first priority is to repress a rebellion of traditionalist hereditary warriors, who remain devoted to the sacred Solomon dynasty but reject the Westernizing of there clan, and even slavery. Ill-prepared to deal with the ancient tribe, all generals and their superior force set out too soon, their panic allows the warrior clan to crush them with ambushes and outsmarting. Badly wounded, Albertone's courageous stand makes the tribe leader spare his life. Once nursed to health, he learns to know and respect the old Abyssinian way and participates as an advisor in an attempt to save the Solomon warriors honor codes and tradition, but when the Italians find him.
