Independent cinema exhibitors in Paris let us in on a profession unknown to most of us. We enter their cinemas, we watch them introducing the film at the Saturday night screenings, choosing the posters, or simply standing outside the cinema, perhaps to lure punters...? They tell the story of how they became exhibitors, how a film theatre works and what are the obstacles they have to overcome to survive in the era of the commercial multiplex.
