Work out Hêvî The Kurdish word Hêvî means hope. Hope for three refugee men who meet in a fitness studio in Kiel and tell of their stories and dreams, their lost identities and the struggle for a fulfilling future. Shown from the perspective of Karwan Meshary, a Kurdish filmmaker and athlete, the film shows the everyday life of three people who share their love for sport, their passion for art and their fate as refugees in search of a normal life abroad . Work out Hêvî looks behind sweat and muscles and describes the fitness studio as a place beyond as a home of the homeless, a space of encounter, hope, creativity and the fight against resignation.
