Acknowledgements (2021)

Sweltering heat and front desk monotony conspire to take us on an ethereal journey in Arvid Eriksson's Acknowledgments. A bored pool attendant reads the Acknowledgments of a paperback and begins to reflect on those that make the list. Is it just an innocuous list, is she reflecting on the final stages of her own life, or is it all a dream? This film reflects on the marvel of other people, how we all affect each other, and how we form ideas about other people which might not always be real.
