Derren, a zoo's guardian, is an anxious lonely man. When he comes home from work, he insults and shouts at his neighbours as he wants to sleep and he's disturbed even by the slightest noise. However, when he finally manages to obtain silence from the outside world, he's kept awake by an unexpected odd: his own heartbeat. Will he silence his own heart too?
