A Story of Bones (2022)

The remote island of St. Helena is known for being where Napoleon stayed during his exile and was buried. But among him, the remains of thousands of freed slaves were uncovered but did not receive the same treatment as Napoleon. Seeing this injustice, a woman called Annina van Neel works hard to reclaim the neglected history of St. Helena and honor it with a proper burial for his ancestors. This film is a brutal reminder of who gets the spotlight of history, as well as the fight to give dignity to those who are being forgotten.
