Deference (2013)

In a competition to the death among assassins, the final three competitors meet on a grassy field next to the Venice Canals. Cosmos is taken out, leaving only Hagan and Gwendolyn as the final two competitors. Gwendolyn has run out of ammunition for her firearm as Hagan has his weapon pointed squarely at her head. Hagan professes his love and respect for his rival, developed over the years of the competition. When it is time to eliminate Gwendolyn, Hagan lowers his weapon, leaving the audience to wonder what the result will be with the final two competitors whose mutual experiences have only been death and destruction to that point.
