After the Yoke (2022)

Bulgaria has just emerged from five centuries of darkness. The young country needs young statesmen - people who are smart and capable. Ivan Vazov is still far from the title 'nation's poet' and has not yet written, 'Under the Yoke' and 'Epic of the Forgotten'. He was only 29 when he became the first judge of Berkovitsa. In the Balkan town some of his most beautiful works were born and a love broke out and died. And the judgments of the judge without legal education and experience became the first funny legends of the just emerging Bulgarian justice. 'After the Yoke' is a film about the unknown Ivan Vazov.
