Wolves have fascinated mankind for time immemorial and they're present in the oral traditions of most civilizations. The way wolves were perceived changed and evolved depending on populations, beliefs, eras and historical events. Wolves were diversely represented as strong or weak, positive or negative, regal or devilish. That duality can consistently be noted in myths or legends over the centuries. Mankind has rarely been so torn about an animal. Man and wolf have been fighting for territories for over 3,000 years, a conflict that continues to this day.
