Fifty years ago, Liu Shop was a famous waterside village presented in the widely-known Chinese movie 'Little Soldier Zhang Ga' about Anti-Japanese War. However, now fishing gives way to farming. The village is suffering from drought every year. The landscape has changed dramatically. Liu Faze, a villager, started to repair the book of village family tree which was burned during China Cultural Revolution. What becomes a mystery is not only the life of Liu family ancestor, but also the traces that water used to be here. Geographically and spiritually, what's lost has been lost forever.
