In the winter of 2005, a middle aged man with a debt of one hundred and thirty million won committed suicide, leaving a note of apology for his family. The director looks at the the death of the man, who was at once a branch manager of a major newspaper and a large debtor, and connects it to various social maladies. The film, which sharply reveals the problems of big newspaper corporations, closely considers the atmosphere of Korean society, where the attention and criticism of the mass is focused on the press.
