Berlin 1938. The half-Jew Hellwig is to be "Aryanized" out of his leading position in the economy. In a supervisory board meeting, he tries to convince his colleagues of the absurdity of this decree with reasonable arguments. His protest has no effect. He gives up the fight and retires to private life. He is a well-known tennis player; but here, too, he was banned from playing due to anti-Semitic regulations.
