Ghana The Great: From Accra to Atlanta, documents the connections and influences that Ghana has contributed to the rest of the world. The film focuses on telling the story through the eyes of Ghanaians, including Ghana descendants who were separated from their home during the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Audiences will also see the descendants tell their story of how it felt to rediscover their Ghana roots. The work also shows how the descendants of Ghana, (both continental and throughout the African Diaspora) are working towards reconnecting themselves. The President of Ghana, His Excellency John D. Mahama, is featured as he informs his constituency during a trip to Atlanta, Georgia about his vision for a new Ghana.
