Gifted (2017)

Frank, a single man, takes on the responsibility of raising his niece, Mary, a child prodigy. As Mary's guardian, he becomes entangled in a custody battle with his mother over her upbringing. Mary shares a close bond with her 43-year-old neighbor, Roberta Taylor, who is her best friend. Her extraordinary mathematical abilities are evident on her first day of first grade, leaving her teacher, Bonnie Stevenson, thoroughly impressed.
