In the months before the outbreak of WWII, almost 10,000 Jewish children escaped from Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. Parents were forced to stay behind and for many it was the final goodbye. In their own words, the 'Kindertransport' children describe how their lives and those of their families changed when the Nazis came to power.
