Freak the Language (2016)

30 minutes - Documentary Filmmakers Lee Quinby and Sam Hampton explore the passionately creative and carefully crafted impulses of New York City poet David Mills. Through selected poetry readings, the film spotlights David's unique associations of words, syntax, rhythm and rhyme. On-camera interviews convey how living in Langston Hughes' landmark Harlem home for three years developed a special bond with Hughes while travel around the world enlivens his sense of history, body, and spirit.
